One of my biggest pet peeves...
Spelling the word 'definitely' as 'definately.' It's not even a phonetic misspelling and if you have been pronouncing it as an "a" sound, well, you need to reevaluate your pronunciation skills.
I love nothing more than verbal precision. Call it the academic in me.

Whoa, Apple
I love Apple and I was sort of excited to see what the iPhone turned out to be--although actually, I'm not particularly interested in purchasing one. Even though I try to avoid unitaskers in my life--unitaskers in the form of kitchen appliances, clothing and men, I just don't think the iPhone would reallt fit my lifestyle. I was pretty shocked to read this article today.

The whole price cut thing just seems so un-Apple and they seem like such a stable company who never makes either technological or financial missteps that it makes the rebate/pricecut thing a little uncomfortable. Meh. I'm a lot less enchanted by Mac since I bought a Mini last year that runs a little too slowly for my preferences. I'm saving up for a faster laptop for when I get to my Phd program in a few months.
