One of my biggest pet peeves...
Spelling the word 'definitely' as 'definately.' It's not even a phonetic misspelling and if you have been pronouncing it as an "a" sound, well, you need to reevaluate your pronunciation skills.
I love nothing more than verbal precision. Call it the academic in me.

yeah, that bugs me too. i could understand defanitely (though it would still really annoy me, at last that looks sort of like what it sounds like), but UGH
